Friendship Sewing – meets every Tuesday morning at 9:00. This is an informal group that gets together and sews. You bring your sewing machine and your own project. This is a great opportunity to visit and share sewing techniques.

Art – this class meets on Wednesday and is provided by the Riverside Community College (RCC) Young At Heart Program. Various mediums are taught including chalk, oils, pastels, etc. The class is free but you must have you own supplies. You must register each semester and can do that through the RCC office or the office at the Eddie Dee Smith Senior Center.

Photography – this class meets on Thursday and goes for a six-week period. The class is free. You should have your own digital camera but you can come to the first class for recommendations on what camera to purchase. You will learn various photography techinques including how to format a picture, lighting, etc.

Ceramics – this class meets on Thursday. The class is free and some molds are provided. Once you visit the class you will have an opportunity to purchase paints and continue to create beautiful projects. We have a kiln here at the senior center so you don’t have to take your project elsewhere.

Knitting/Crochet Class – this group meets on Friday mornings. This is an informal class taught by one of our volunteers. The class is free and many of the supplies are provided at no cost. You may have to purchase your own needles.

Arts & Crafts - this class meets on Friday and is provided by the Riverside Community College (RCC) Young At Heart Program. The class is free but you may have purchase some supplies. You will create a new project each week. You must register each semester and can do that through the RCC office or the office at the Eddie Dee Smith Senior Center.

Watercolor – this class meets all day on Friday starting at 9:00. This class is taught by an experienced artist and the donation is $5 per class. Even if you have never painted before, you can become an excellent artist. This is a fun class and you will make friends. After the first class, you will need to purchase supplies.
